Out of the kindness of everyone here, I was lucky enough to win some of
Shane's tops a few months back. They are also quite beautiful and I'm
excited to get them under finish in a few months to really see what pops
out! Thanks Shane, and of course Mother Nature!

Of course, with the way you're able to pump those things out of the
bathroom Hesh, I'm sure yours will be done well before mine. I can't wait
for summer to be in full swing!

I've got two of those tops and they look great. They have a very crisp taptone and I am expecting great things from them tonally. The ring count on my top is so high that I cannot keep my place while counting. But there are a lot of grain lines per inch. Right now I am in the process of making an OM with one of those tops.

What is Lutz spruce? Are there any main differences from the other varieties of spruce other than where it's from? I'm guessing Lutz is from somewhere in the great white north, aye?

I ordered a few of those a month or so back.
Beautiful tops, and one became a birthday present for my bro. I was about 3 weeks late for his birthday, but he forgave me (I think ) since the present was so nice!

Thanks again Shane!

I have 2, or is it 3, of Shane's tops. They are very nice tops and quite pleasant to look at as well. One of them is going on my next build if I ever get to it. All this moving and setting up shop all over again takes a lot more time than I counted on.

Sweet!

I'm (im)patiently awaiting my batch 'o tops. And I'm now very, very glad that I'm moving my wood stash elsewhere soon, because I'm not entirely sure where to put them when they arrive....

My current project is being built with some wood I bought from Shane as well. Really nice stuff! I just finished bracing the back with some Lutz bracewood and I'l be joining the soundboard this weekend. I'll definitely be back for some more of this wood.

I've got one of Shane's Lutz tops (via my good friend Russell), it's the only spruce top I've got that not Euro, so It'll be outside my comfort zone when I build with it. I'll put it on a Mahagany 000 so that I have other yardsticks to compare it to. It cetainly feels nicer than any other NA spruce I've handled.
